    Spring (March–May)

Spring is magical in Napa. The mustard flowers blanket the vineyards in bright yellow, temperatures hover in the 60s–70s, and the crowds haven't arrived yet.

March: Mustard season at its peak. Cool mornings, pleasant afternoons. Great for hiking and outdoor tastings.

April: Wildflowers everywhere. Bud break begins — you'll see the first green shoots on the vines. Restaurant patios reopen.

May: Warming up nicely. Memorial Day weekend kicks off the busy season. Book ahead if visiting late May.

    Summer (June–August)

This is peak Napa. Hot days (80s–100s), long evenings, and the valley is buzzing with energy.

June: Perfect weather before the real heat hits. Festival season begins.

July: Hot. Plan indoor tastings midday and outdoor activities for morning or evening.

August: Harvest begins! This is an exciting time — you can smell the crush in the air. Very busy.

    Fall (September–November)

Harvest season is the most celebrated time in Napa. The vines turn gold and crimson, and the energy is electric.

September: Peak harvest. Many wineries offer harvest experiences. Book months in advance.

October: Crush continues. The fall colors are spectacular. Still warm but cooling down.

November: Quiet and beautiful. Post-harvest calm. Great deals on hotels and a perfect time for a relaxed visit.

    Winter (December–February)

The valley sleeps — but it's still beautiful.

December: Holiday events, barrel tastings, and cozy fireside dining. Light crowds.

January: The quietest month. Some closures, but intimate tasting experiences. Pruning season begins.

February: Early mustard blooms start appearing. Valentine's Day brings a brief rush. Otherwise peaceful.
