The Perfect Napa Weekend: A 3-Day Itinerary
Brandon CDay 1: Arrive & Settle In
Morning: Arrive in Napa and check into your hotel. I recommend staying in Yountville for walkability or St. Helena for charm.
Lunch: Start with a relaxed lunch at a spot with vineyard views. Nothing too heavy — you have a big weekend ahead.
Afternoon: Ease into it with one winery visit. Choose somewhere with a seated tasting experience so you can relax and take in the setting.
Dinner: Walk to dinner if you're in Yountville. The restaurant scene here is incredible — Michelin-starred options within stumbling distance of your hotel.
Day 2: The Big Day
Morning: Start early with a hot air balloon ride over the valley (book well in advance) or a morning hike.
Late Morning: First winery of the day. Aim for a cave tour or estate tour for something beyond a standard tasting.
Lunch: Recommend doing a wine and food pairing at a winery to maximize your time.
Afternoon: Head back to your hotel for some down time or hit the pool and soak up some Napa Valley sunshine.
Evening: Splurge dinner. This is your Napa moment. Dress up a little, order the wine pairing, enjoy every bite.
Day 3: Slow & Savor
Morning: Sleep in. Enjoy your hotel's breakfast or brunch at one of Napa's best restaurants.
Late Morning: One final tasting — maybe a sparkling wine house for something different.
Lunch: A farewell lunch in downtown Napa. Browse the Oxbow Public Market if you haven't already.
Afternoon: Head home with a case of wine and a list of reasons to come back.
Pro Tips
- Don't over-schedule. Two wineries in a day is plenty.
- Always have a designated driver or car service booked.
- Make dinner reservations at least 2 weeks in advance, especially on weekends.
- Leave room in your luggage (or ship wine home from the wineries).
